Cav-tzu (Cavalier King Charles x Shih-tzu )

Hi Steven & Donna
We got Ozzie our Cav-tzu (Cavalier
King Charles x Shih-tzu) when
he was 2 months old and this is what he looks like at 6 months.
He is very affectionate and well natured
but barks a fair bit but he is still young. He is approx 30cm
tall and about 60cm long. He needs an occasional hair cut but it doesn't
grow very fast, but needs regular trimming of his face, feet and ears
and doesn't shed much hair.
He is very friendly and i think he would
go home with just about anyone!
I hope this is ok, let me know if you need
any more information

Steve & Donna,
These are our two beautiful dogs we
got from you. Ruby is the Cav-tzu (King Charles Cavalier x Shih-tzu) on right
and Bella is the Malt-tzu (Maltese x Shih-tzu) on the left. They are
both going really well and the kids have great fun with them. They are
a little spoilt.
Thanks Marieanne and Family

Hi Steve and Donna,
Just a wee note to say how much the
whole family and neigbourhood love LUCY...... our Cav-tzu. She has the most
beautiful nature. She is very gentle with the children,
unfortunately I can't say the same for them....
She loves playing with children and
other dogs - in fact we are thinking of getting her a permanent
playmate.
She has added another ray of
sunshine to our family from the moment we picked her up at
Balmoral Beach in April 2004.
Thanks so much

Hi Steven & Donna
Our gorgeous Cav-Tzu is now
12 months old, being born in February 2004. He is
absolutely beautiful and totally doted on by everyone who
comes in touch with him.
He has the best nature I've ever known in a dog and absolutely loves people. He is extremely well behaved, causing no problems for us as he learns things so easily. Thankyou for such a wonderful joy in our lives.
Attached are some photos of
Merlot, taken over Easter. His coat is starting to grow
back after being trimmed for the summer months.
He's like a little teddy bear now. Joanne Cloran and family

Hi Steven & Donna,
I purchased Tobey, my Cavalier King Charles cross Shih-tzu
(pictured) in August 2004. I would sincerely
like to thank you for providing me with such a
wonderful dog.
Tobey has a great personality. He has a very friendly, laid back and affectionate nature combined with the qualities of intelligence, curiosity and playfulness making him a very well balanced and happy dog. He loves socialising both with people and other dogs.
He is brown, white and black in colour with a thick
coat. Tobey gets a hair cut every few months.
His markings are very even. I continually get stopped whilst
on walks by people commenting on his looks.
Tobey brings happiness to my world and all those who
met him!!

Hi Steven & Donna, We bought "Paige" (cav-tzu) at the end of March 2004 and my husband and I fell in love with her as soon as we saw her. We started puppy preschool with her when she was 9 weeks old and she was the youngest in the class. This didn't at all stop her from bounding right up to a 12 week old lab pup that was about 4 times bigger than her. She did quite well up puppy preschool,
learning basic commands and socialisation and was very
proud to graduate (we even have a certificate).
Paige has a fun-loving nature. She loves other dogs and
people (both familiar and unfamiliar). She is very playful and is
always up for a game of fetch or wrestling. As you can see from 1 of
the pictures, she is also no stranger to getting dirty. That shot was
taken after she went for a swim in my parents pool then rolled in the
dirt.
Her coat requires frequant grooming as she is not a sit
and stay clean dog.
Mostly we comb her every other day and get her groomed
professionally every
2 months. Her coat is lovely and shiny and soft.
Thankyou for this wonderful addition to our family!

Hi Steven And Donna,
We bought our wonderful cav-tzu
from you in August 2004, you called her blue eye because she had
one blue eye and one brown eye. We named her Bella and she is now 1yr
old and weighs in at 8.7 kgs. She came to us with an
abdominal hernia which got operated on when she was old enough, but
other than that she is very healthy.
Here are some photos of her over the last
few months.
She absolutes loves people (likes to try
and sleep on the pillow with us at night!) and loves to be cuddled and
will find a way to sit on your lap. She doesn't like people reading
the paper and ignoring her so she'll jump up & lay on the paper so
you can't read it.
However, she also has much more energy
then I expected and loves to play tug of war with you, and she
goes for laps around the yard when the mood strikes her. She has
amazingly powerful back legs and thinks she's invincible - she'll try
to jump up to or down from anything!
Everyone who sees her adores her and she
laps up the attention. She's greedy when it comes to food and
particularly likes human foods - she's not a fan of dry dog food
though!
She has bought a lot of joy to my husband
and I. We would recommend a puppy from her parents to anyone.
I was actually just looking at the
cav-tzu's on your website - but I think Bella is so spoilt she would
hate to have to share us with another dog permanently!
I'm very grateful that your website has
pictures of the puppies available because we fell in love with Bella
the moment we saw her on your site.
Thankyou,
Melissa & Shane Bedwell July

Hi Steven & Donna,
Puppy arrived in Bundaberg safe and well,
and didn't seem to be the least bit perturbed by the ordeal. In fact he
made himself quite at home in record time.
We've named him NUDGE, as he follows us everywhere, and if we stop, for even the briefest moment, he promptly lays on our feet and we have to nudge him off every time, it's very funny. He has a great personality, very lively and playful (in-between sleeps) when we want him to play, and just content to follow us around when we aren't able to play. Toilet training is going surprisingly well, he walks around looking a little uneasy when he needs to go, so we just pop him straight outside and everybody's happy. He sleeps in a little basket beside my bed and whines during the night to go out (very clever). My 2 and a half year old twins think he is just the greatest thing on the planet and to tell you the truth I think Nudge thinks the same about them, they're all getting along famously. Everybody that sees him thinks he's absolutely adorable & I must say, I have to agree. Thanks again Petra, Peter, Cassie, Cody
& NUDGE August 05
We had this puppy flown to Bundaberg Nudge Update!!!! Hi Donna & Family,
We bought Nudge our CAV-TZU
in August of this year and he is now just under 6months old. Just
thought I'd let you know how he is going.
Nudge is the envy of all the neighbours, don't be surprised if you get some more orders from Bundaberg. I got him for the kids (having been a big dog person all my life) and the kids just adore him, the only problem is that I like him much more than I expected and he's now my dog through and through. He is exceptionally bright having flown through his 10week basic obedience class in just 3weeks. He has now just graduated to level 3 obedience, we are hoping to have him ready for trials by February 2006 and on top of the obedience he now shakes hands, begs, rolls over, and bows, we are learning tricks because he starts agility and freeform dancing in January. He's still a little smaller than I would of thought he would be at this age at 4.4kg but he may just be a late bloomer. We keep him clipped (he has the full shih-tzu coat) because he just adores swimming and otherwise I have to keep drying him, and also it's just too hot here at the moment. I'll try to send some pics of him in full coat next winter. All in all the PERFECT dog for us.
Thank you so much, Petra

Hi Steven and Donna,
We got Jack (our Cav-tzu) from you
mid last year and he is coming up to his 1st Birthday. Jack is just a ball of energy and is extremely social with both people and other dogs. He is usually very quiet, only barking when he is on guard duty in the back yard (he watches us through the windows to check everything is ok). We take Jack everywhere with us and he is fearless at trying new things. Thanks very much for this addition to our family. We have had no hesitation in recommending your puppies to our friends and family. Kind Regards, Chris Byrne and Kristy Smith (and Jack) January 2006

Dear Steven and Donna,
This is Sasha, our Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel X Shih-Tzu who we bought off you in December 2004. She
is now 1 year and 4 months old, and is, as anyone will tell you, the
most loved dog in the world.
Everyone who sees her when out walking will bend down and pat her on the head, and they all comment on what a nice dog she is.
She has the most gorgeous nature, and
loves being around everyone. She is very laid back and very very
smart. And what a personality! Not only is she very smart, but she has
discovered a way to use her unfailing charm to get away with her
extent of cheekiness.
She loves a scratch on the belly, and her favourite pastime is a game of fetch and a walk in the park. She loves socialising with other dogs who she meets at the park, and any person that we walk past. She gives us no problems whatsoever, and has fit into the family like she's been here forever.
Thankyou so much for such a great joy
that you have brought to our lives. Sasha brings a smile to our face
every time we look at her, and we couldnt imagine life without her.

Dear Steve and Donna,
We can't thank you enough for our beautiful
Cav-Tzu Phoebe.
She has been a wonderful addition to our family, the kids adore her, and she is very spoilt!! Phoebe is now 2yrs and we purchased her from Country Puppies, in July 2004.
We love her placid nature, she is very social
with other dogs, and the ladies at the doggy groomer just adore her!!
My children Chris, Codie and Caitlin have all taught her tricks - Phoebe loves to play hide (she places both paws over her eyes) when the kids shout boo she removes her paws - this is also how she tells us if she wants a pat. Phoebe also loves to give us cuddles - places paws around our necks and licks our faces!!
A big thankyou, for giving us a beautiful and
loving companion. We will soon have another Cav-tzu in our family
also from Country Puppies, I'm sure Phoebe and the kids will love her
(Pebbles) just as much.
Take care, The Franks

We are now in the process of getting Georgie a friend which will also be a Cav-tzu because of the wonderful temperament that Georgie has. Regards Joe & Rebecca Jan 2008

Dear Steven & Donna
Just a quick update on Jesse, the Cav-Tzu we bought from you in June. She
is now 7 months old and has grown into a really lovely dog, both in looks and
temperament. She is very friendly and loves to meet new people and other
dogs.
Jesse is attending obedience classes and has learned new skills very
quickly. She can already sit, drop, stay, come, stand, fetch, wait, shake
hands and roll over on command. Our trainer is very impressed with how well
she is doing.
Jesse is living a very happy life. She gets lots of attention, comes on
holiday with us and usually gets two walks every day. Thank you for such a
great dog, we love her a lot and she is an important part of our family.
Regards
Carolyn Pik NOV 2008
